" From this exact same spot in 1912, the warlord Yuan Shikai made a public appearance after being inaugurated the main president of the Republic associated with China. In 1984, ahead of time in his reign, the highly popular Deng Xiaoping presided over a military parade and some other self-celebratory events marking the 35th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic on October 1, after having been driven at night reviewing stands standing up within a large "Red Flag" limousine being a toy soldier. And with 1999, Deng's successor, some sort of jolly Jiang Zemin (president, etc. 1995-2005), mounted the rostrum in the 50th anniversary of this regime. Today, for some sort of modest fee, anyone might mount the gate, inspect the lounge in which the leadership took their leisure, gaze down on the square and revel in a Mao's eye view. So to enjoy a beijing tour was a necessary experience in our life.
